Yes folks, it's almost spring! Technically, it is spring, but if you're living in the Midwest right now, you know old man winter has pretty much given us the middle finger. The fact there's a chance for snow again tomorrow, on the first of April, is insane. My only consolation is in a couple of weeks, the weather should be warm enough that I can comfortably ride my bike! What makes it even better is this is the first time in years that I had a working bike in spring.
As a reminder to all of my mountain biking buddies, please be considerate of the trail conditions when you are picking a time to ride. It is spring, and we know that can (and hopefully will, for the sake of our local farmers) mean a good deal of rain. Considering a good deal of our trails can have some clay content, riding them when the ground is muddy can really do some lasting damage. I don't do trail maintenance, but I know enough to understand that's not easy to fix.
Anyway, I'm thrilled its this time of year! Now I just need to get off of my lazy arse so I don't feel like I'm having a heart attack 5 minutes into my first ride... Anyway, I hope to see you out there soon!
